Chicken coop
The Boomer & George Deluxe Chicken Coop is so versatile and spacious, you'll wish your own home was just like it. This two-tiered chicken coop is crafted of durable Fir and has two doors for easy access to your chickens. The top portion gives your chickens a little privacy for laying eggs, a large enclosed living/exercise space gives them a place to ruffle their feathers, and one section of the roof comes off to make cleaning the interior a whole lot easier. A ramp leads from the top level to the caged lower level where your chickens will have space to stretch their talons. Indoors and out, they're gonna love their new pad. This coop will comfortably house four to five chickens.

This coop is inexpensive, attractive, assembles in less than one hour, made of quality materials.
It is small; we have 3 hens living in it.
My husband added some hook & eye latches and barrel latches to the doors for added security ( to preempt any activity by raccoons, foxes, weasels).
He also added 1 door to the coop. THe interior does not have a door at the ladder/ramp that leads down to the ground. At night, we send the hens in and latch this door that he built.
ALso, if you buy a standard sized waterer, you will find that it does not fit easily through the bottom screened door. It fits, but not easily.

I purchased this coop to hold two bantams and two easter eggers. The assembly of the product was quick and easy. The instructions were easy to understand. I am disappointed in the lack of sturdiness of the product. It moves and wiggles when you push on it a little. I will need to invest in a larger, more permanent coop this summer. I don't foresee this coop lasting long or through much weather. You will need to upgrade two latches and install some type of predator proof flooring or skirting. I am concerned how the coop will hold up in the winter or how warm it may or may not be during cold nights and snowy weather. [...] I will use this coop on a temporary basis, while I build my own sturdier, longer lasting coop this summer. I would not have bought this coop for this price if I had a chance to see it in person. It would make a great bunny house.

I will admit it is not for 3 chicks just 2 but it is a quick fix and a nice looking yard item - and the young birds found the upstairs comfortable

Comments about Habitats Boomer & George Deluxe Chicken Coop:
We love the details of this chicken coop. The sweet little heart door knobs and cute little window for the Hens to peek out is a nice touch. It was easy to put together.
We have two full grown Hens that seem to have enough room to roam around, although three Hens may be pushing it. I would highly recommend this chicken coop!

Comments about Habitats Boomer & George Deluxe Chicken Coop:
Overall pleased with the coop and quick delivery. However, one panel was broken on two sides and we had to put it back together with Gorilla Glue---which I hope will hold it. Also, the locks provided on the nesting box and door closure seem inadequate to provide safety from predators---even raccoons--so we will have to add additional locks. Otherwise all was good and we are looking forward to getting it put together and in the yard as our chicks are growing quickly! Think they will love their new home!

My Wife and Daughter brought home two hens that needed a home, with a coat of water seal and lockable door latches this is JUST RIGHT. Looks good in the yard too!
